  • WeismanWEISMAN ART MUSEUM
    Georgia O'Keeffe, Marsden Hartley, Charles Biederman, Oscar Bluemner, Lyonel Feininger, Jacob Lawrence these are just a few of the artists represented in the permanent collection at the Weisman Art Museum. With its striking exterior and serene insides the Frank Gehry-designed museum is a great place to see art or take in special events.

    Science MuseumSCIENCE MUSEUM OF MINNESOTA
    The Science Museum has more than eight and a half acres of indoor area for visitors to explore. It also features a huge, convertible dome Omnitheater, a 3D multimedia laser show, plus several ongoing exhibits. Permanent galleries include the Collections Gallery, Dinosaurs and Fossils Gallery, Experiment Gallery, Human Body Gallery and the Mississippi River Gallery.

    CapitolMINNESOTA STATE CAPITOL
    One of the most beautiful state capitol buildings in the nation, the Minnesota Capitol was designed by architect Cass Gilbert and finished in 1905. Tours of the building are offered, but reservations are required two weeks in advance for groups of 10 or more.

    MOAMALL OF AMERICA
    The nation's largest entertainment and retail complex, the Mall of America boasts more than 500 stores and 2.5 million square feet of retail space. The mall also includes the Camp Snoopy amusement park, a giant aquarium called Underwater Adventures, Jillian's Hi Life Lanes, a 14-screen movie theater, dozens of eating establishments and several night clubs.

    MIAMINNEAPOLIS INSTITUTE OF ARTS
    One of the region's top museums, the Minneapolis Institute of Arts houses more than 100,000 objects from diverse cultural traditions spanning some 5,000 years of human history. In addition to its numerous galleries, the MIA hosts various family events, film screenings, nationally touring shows and other activities.

    Sculpture GardenMINNEAPOLIS SCULPTURE GARDEN
    A project of the Walker Art Center and the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, the Sculpture Garden boasts 11 acres of outdoor art.
